Spices and Seasonings: Names (GB/T 12729.1-2008) is part 1 of GB/T 12729. This part corresponds to ISO 676:1995 "Names of Spices and Seasonings" (English version), and the degree of consistency is non equivalent. The main difference from ISO 676:1995 is that 41 spice plant varieties that are not suitable for planting in China or have not formed a market-oriented scale were removed from ISO 676:1995, and only 68 of them were used. Spices and Seasonings: Nomenclature (GB/T 12729.1-2008) is a revision of GB/T 12729.1-1991 Spices and Seasonings Nomenclature, which is consistent with GB/T 12729 Compared to 1991, there were an increase of 26 varieties, and the total number of spice plant varieties reached 68.
